I was in two minds about writing this post. It's one of those products that most people seem to own or have tried, but I'd managed to put off buying it for so long that I figured there might be others out there who hadn't tried this either. When my sister commented on the facts that my cheekbones looked like Kim Kardashian's I was sold, and on to the blog it crept.
I probably didn't need another highlighter, but after losing my beloved Lightscapade by MAC, the urge to replace it took over whilst browsing the Harrods counter. I decided to go for something new, and Soft and Gentle made its way home with me. I was slightly concerned when I first swatched it, as it seemed to be heavily on the bronze side, but blended out on at the top of my cheeks this looks very natural.
This highlighter catches the light perfectly and really gives a beautiful glow. You don't need to be generous with it - apply with a light hand as it's super pigmented, and nobody likes the disco ball look. This looks particularly nice with a tan, although I'm not sure how it'd fare on paler, pinker skin tones than mine. In terms of texture, I was initially a little disappointed as it felt kind of powdery, but I've been using this with a Real Techniques duo fibre brush which is super soft, and I have no complaints.
If you're after a gorgeous every day highlighter, I'd definitely recommend Soft and Gentle. It's worth giving a swatch just to see what all the hype is about!
