Blogmas Day 23: Lush Rudolph Fresh Face Mask

23 December 2013

Another day, another Lush Christmas product to share with you all. Today is my final festive Lush offering, and only my second ever skin care product from the brand. Rudolph is a face mask which is designed to soothe and nourish the skin, which is perfect for this time of year.  I love the name, and the cute red jelly nose! Get ready ladies and gents, because this is going to be a bit of a rave...

My skin has been playing up lately, so I layered on Rudolph in the tub for ten minutes and hoped for the best. First things first, this smells quite strongly of lavender, so I felt relaxed and calm whilst wearing it, it was a really lovely experience. In terms of texture, I'd describe it as like oatmeal. It was initially a bit of a pain to apply because of the crumbliness, but once I got used to the consistency it was fine. Although a cute idea, the red jelly nose kept sliding off, so it seemed a little unnecessary. The mask quickly set, but it didn't feel tightening at all.

Once I removed Rudolph, I was amazed by how soft and smooth my skin felt. Overall my face looked happier, and the redness in my cheeks had lessened a little. Since using this mask I've been seriously impressed by how nicely my foundation has been sitting on my skin, and will definitely look to purchase a similar mask from Lush as unfortunately Rudolph is limited edition for Christmas.
